H1 Community Engagement Sessions — Final Call to Attend!
I know our busy lives make it hard to think about next week, next month or next year, let alone the 3-9 years (!) it will be before our Havens students enter high school. In this case, however, please make it a priority to think ahead, as our elementary school-aged students are the ones who will benefit greatly from Measure H1-funded projects at the high school. If you weren’t able to attend the 4/1 community engagement session, I strongly encourage you to attend one of the two remaining sessions: Thursday, April 6, 12:30 – 2:00 pm in Ellen Driscoll Theater, or Tuesday, April 18, 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the PHS Student Center. Kindly RSVP here. The sessions will include a presentation on the three conceptual designs for the high school project, with plenty of time for audience questions and feedback. I’m very much looking forward to attending tomorrow’s session. Thank you again for the incredible parent support for Measure H1 last fall — now it’s time to make sure the funds are spent as wisely as possible.
Thank You Havens Families!
One of the best parts of my volunteer job is seeing first hand how involved Havens families are in our community. Last week was a busy one, and I want to thank you for doing your part — whether it was volunteering for and/or attending the STEAM Expo, encouraging your child’s participation in the SERVES Read-a-Thon, or volunteering for, donating to and/or attending Spring Fling. We are very lucky to live in a community that is able to contribute so much to our schools. Thank you!
Have a wonderful Spring Break,
Rebecca Thornborrow, HPC President
