Measure H1 Update
If you weren’t able to attend one of the recent Town Hall meetings on the Measure H1 proposals, please take a few moments to read the material available at http://measureh1.org. There’s a link on the website that allows you to submit your feedback once you have learned about the various options under consideration. As I’ve said before (and I’m sure I’ll say again), our elementary school-aged students are the ones who will benefit greatly from Measure H1-funded projects at the high school, and it’s up to us to provide feedback on the proposals. If you have questions about the proposals, I would be happy to answer them (or direct you to the appropriate person); please feel free to contact me any time at firstname.lastname@example.org. The School Board will be discussing the proposals at tonight’s meeting, which starts at 7 pm in our City Hall Chambers.
Art Show and Music Concert Next Wednesday
I look forward to seeing the Havens community at the Art Show Reception and Music Concert next Wednesday morning. HPC will have coffee on hand for parents, so get there before it runs out! Our students and teachers have been working hard all year to prepare for these events, and I know the morning will be a wonderful celebration of the arts in our schools. See you there!
Teacher Appreciation Day Next Wednesday as well!
It will be a busy day: in addition to the Art Show and Music Concert, next Wednesday is also Teacher Appreciation Day at Havens. Please send your child to school with one flower to present to his or her teacher. Parent volunteers will help gather the flowers to create beautiful bouquets for your teacher. The HPC Hospitality Committee will also be providing a delicious lunch and treats to our wonderful teachers, aides, resource and administration staff.
Have a great week,
Rebecca Thornborrow, HPC President
